Welcome to Carlos Method Fitness, where our mission is to help young people develop healthy habits and achieve their fitness goals through 121 personal training. Carlos has the Kids Fitness Instructor Award at Level 2, an up-to-date DBS check and is fully insured so you can rest assured that your kids are in safe hands. His PT sessions are fun and engaging, helping children and teens build confidence, strength, and endurance. Our personal training for young people is designed to be challenging, whilst meeting their individual needs. Whether your child is a complete beginner in the gym or an experienced athlete, we can provide the guidance and support they need to succeed, in a safe and supportive environment.
Parents often approach us, worried their kids are not getting enough exercise at school or are visibly struggling in team sports, due to a lack of fitness and strength. Also, some kids lack the motivation and desire to get fit, choosing instead to spend hours on their iPhones and computer consoles. We help you to peel your kids off the couch and get them into the gym with us. By scheduling an appointment and fixing it into their diary every week, we can help them to create a sustainable fitness routine that will put them in good stead for the future. Exercise should be a lifetime habit and is the most natural coping strategy for the stresses of everyday life, as they venture into adulthood.
Safe, Effective, and Enjoyable Exercise
Kids are always supervised by Carlos during their PT session. He trains them in a safe, effective and practical manner, ensuring that he gets the best out of them on any day. The tunes are pumping, whether that’s’ pop, R&B, hip-hop or dance and we find this greatly enhances their training experience with us at the studio. Our boxing studio also has some funky, colour-changing LED lighting to create a cool, vibrant atmosphere, and immersive experience. Our workouts are only 30-minutes long and we have found this timeframe works perfectly with kids. We can get a lot of work done during this half hour and the nature of our personal training style means that kids don’t get bored – we mix it up with various exercises and circuit training formats.
Encouraging a Positive Body Image for Boys and Girls
Carlos has trained a lot of kids and teens in the past, who have struggled with having a positive body image due to social media pressures, friends and what is portrayed in the media as a ‘perfect body’. Sometimes we see that the girls want to look like Kim Kardashian and the boys want to be bulked up like the Rock. We help kids to embrace their body shape and be comfortable in their own skin. We educate them to work hard in the gym, eat sensibly and maximise their own genetic potential as much as they can. We are all built differently and that’s totally ok, we get kids focusing on themselves and their own goals. We are extremely sensitive around these subjects of body image and food. Carlos is very tactful in his approach and can be trusted to work alongside you in helping them to develop positive relationships with exercise and nutrition.
